should life get taken seriously

Sometimes when traveling I feel like I am going in to another dimension. At moments I can take life a little bit too seriously. This is most dangerous. Beware of seriousness. Warning: Beware. Unless you are being serious about JOY.

One of the first time's I met Chris' amazing Mum I brought along a telescope on a family visit to Weymouth. The New Scientist had informed me that it was one of the rare chances to see Uranus. At no point could I explain to the wonderful Theresa that "I have brought the telescope along with me to see Uranus" without feeling incredibly awkward and embarrassed. In fact, I may have dug that hole deeper and deeper as I elaborated on how "I read today its a rare occasion for it to be visible in the sky."

I have since spent a lot of time laughing about that memory.

If you have hit that place of 'oh why me!?' or 'dear life what is this?' or 'am I an alien from out of space?!' then I suggest having a big dose of the above.
